Help.

As mentioned before, the incredible project of creating a printed inventory of Europe’s largest, private collection of Science Fiction novels is about to die a rather sad death, simply because there don’t seem to be enough subscribers. Which is ridiculous — 20 Euros per installment/month really isn’t that much. And it’s value for money:

Each installment includes a paperback packed with bibliographic data, plus a CD Rom with complete cover scans of the books in 150dpi resolution: dustjacket front cover, dustjacket spine, dustjacket back cover; then scans of the book cover with the dustjacket taken off.

Something needs to be done:
The Flyer The Inventory Catalogue of Europe’s Largest Science Fiction Collection is in Danger! (see above) can be downloaded here, at present only in German language with a few bits of English. Print it out and spread, share, distribute.

Much more about the whole disaster can be found in this thread at the science fiction club deutschland e.v. forum and at Helgas galaktische Funkbude. I only wish Marianne Sydow would redesign her Villa Galactica website. At present the site still looks like web 0.85, is hard to navigate and pretty ugly to say the least. However, it’s the thought that counts: and if you subscribe now you won’t end up in hell and get beaten up 24 hours a day by nasty Orks. Promised.
